Hello, I am trying to research my mother's family history and she has connections to Blantyre through her grand parents. Her grandmother was born Isabella Prentice Sproul in 1873, her parents were John and Isabella (nee Prentice). She has an old photograph of her great grandparents standing outside of their shop/business which was shoe and boot making.
