My grandfather Robert John Murdoch, born 1876 in Blantyre.  Father David Murdoch, Mother Ann Forrest. He may have been related to Thomas Murdoch who died at age 17 in the 1877 Blantyre mining disaster. Robert Immigrated to USA and worked as coal miner in Saginaw county Michigan, USA, Died in St Charles, Michigan 1940.  Any information about him or his family is appreciated,
