Hi Paul.  I've had a brick wall on my husband's sides for too many years.  A hint on Ancestry just popped up.  1841 Scotland Census, William Potter b. abt 1826 Lanarkshire, Scotland residence 1841 Dalserf, Lanarkshire, Scotland.  Shows parents as John and Mary and siblings Giles, Jannet, Elizabeth, John and Andrew.  Do you know what happened to this family?  It's possible this could break down my wall especially if William migrated to either the US or Canada.  Many thanks Pam Smith-Potter
