I'm interested in finding out more about my Douglas ancestors.

My grandfather's name was John Meldrum Douglas, born in 1911 Larkhall Lanarkshire. He was married to Flora McLean McKechnie born 1913 Gorbals Lanarkshire. They married in June 1933 Blantyre. They had 5 child all born in Blantyre, my dad being the oldest.

My grand parents lived I'm guessing, from the early 1930's till I don't know on Dixon Rows as my grandfather was a coal miner.

My Grandmother died 1979 Blantyre and my grandfather died 1985 East Kilbride.

My question is. is it possible to find out more about my grand parents mining days?

Where on Dixon Rows did they live? How long for? Were the children born there? What kind of conditions would they of lived in? Anything else would be great.
