Hello there, my great grandmother was Helen Jones, born at Allison Place in 1888. I think her mother, Agnes, gets a mention in your fantastic article on that building. My understanding is that after her mother died (her father, Richard, had died about a year after she was born) the children were effectively orphaned and forced to emigrate - some of them anyway. I'm interested in anything to do with her family and especially the broader history of families like hers moving from Ireland and their connections with Scotland. I'd also be interested to know what happened to her mother, Agnes, as I can't seem to work out when and where she died. Many thanks, Decker Forrest
