My Greatgrandfather was John Shanks , he was born in  Feb 15 1855. He married Margaret McDougall ,who was born in 1857,  on Nov 25, 1881. Your website states that  a John Shanks purchased Burnbrae Farm, Blantyre sometime during the 1870's . It go on to say that John Shanks died at Burnbrae Farm in August 1892 at the age of 34. My Grandmother Margaret (Maggie) Shanks and all 6 her siblings were born  at BurnbraeFarm , Blantyre Scotland, the last one being born Dec 1890. Can you help me shed some light on this? Is my Grandfather the John Shanks mentioned on the Blantyre Project website?
