Hi Paul - my father was born in Blantyre on May 19th 1909.  His name was Alexander Boyd Dixon - his father was Matthew Dixon and his mother Marion Boyd and they lived at 55 Main St.  I can find lots of Granma's family via Ancestry.com but the only person I can find for the Dixon side is Thomas Dixon (Grandad's father).  NB the name was sometimes spelled Dickson.  I'm coming to Blantyre this Christmas and would love to be able to find out more - can you help please?
