Hi, it's our understanding that Esther and William (married in 1831 at Kilwinning) are the grandparents of my father's grandmother and that they lived just outside of Blantyre before coming to Australia on the Coromandel in 1838 with their three children, where they had another six. I'm bringing my Dad to Scotland for a driving holiday and will stop in at Blantyre and thought it would be great if he could find out more about the Cook's in the area, if there are any?  His grandmother, Mary Ann Cook married William James Cutler and named the third property she acquired Blantyre (northern NSW).  We know they didn't grow up in Blantyre, and we aren't sure if they had family there, but figured it was worth the question.
