My question is in regards to the lineage of Lady Margaret Monteith, my fifth great grandmother. I have pieced together that she was born in 1768 Inverary Castle Argyllshire, Scotland. Was Lady Margaret Monteith the daughter of Daughter of James Monteith Esq(born 1734) and Katherine Kerr 1747-1795? If she was then she would be the sister of  John, James (bought Blantrye Mill) and Henry(provost of Glasgow). She married James Bowes 1760-1835. August 7, 1791 and was disinherited because of this marriage. She had ten children before emigrating to Canada in 1821.
