Hi there, I am a resident of Blantyre and was just wondering if you had any information about the building located on the site of the old Caldergrove House. I can see from Google Earth it has quite a large car park, but there is no signage anywhere, just a CCTV sign down by the white house off the main road. It's just my burning curiosity that has me asking you about it. I initially thought it could be MOD! But maybe it's just a school? Hope you can shed some light!

Hi Glenn. Thanks for your message and apologies for taking time to reply. I've now looked at this and think the building you refer to is the former ADVANCED CONSTRUCTION building from around the Millennium. It has since moved to Bellshill but the large office building and carpark is still there. I'm not sure who owns it now or what it's used for.

After asking about, I’ve been told it was recently demolished, now no longer there after all! Planning apparently in for a care home.
