This brilliant photo is Auchentibber School back in 1935 and rather than being a class photo, is likely the photo of the entire pupil roll for the small school! Shared by Janice Rodgers who told me, “My dad is in this photo, which he has marked X. He was born 28 May 1927 so would have been 7 or 8”
The Auchentibber School register can be found on Blantyre Project covering all entires between 1916 and 1959 here https://blantyreproject.com/2015/10/auchentibber-school-admission-register/ There’s not many people in the class, so it could be possible to work out who all the children are, along with their full names, dates of births, where they lived and dates they were admitted to the school!
Thanks so much for posting this. My dad and his siblings names are on this, first time I’ve seen it quite emotional. Now now his address as well. Hopefully one day someone will post photographs couldn’t recognise anyone in the school photo I seen. Thanks again x
