Duncan Slater shared this picture recently. He told me, “This picture is of Mum, my sister Sadie and myself taken in September 1938 when we moved into our new home at 1 Priory Street. We moved from Merry’s Raws.”
The houses in Priory Street were not long built by that year. Little did anybody know the following year would see the start of WW2. With thanks to Duncan for sharing his childhood photo.
I lived in priory st from birth till I was 21 .no 1 priory st in the early 70,s was my aunt peg .below my house was my aunt Mary ..does this make any sense to you .
