James Brown of Calderside House, High Blantyre shared these images, adding, “This is the mid 20th Century travel permit of Janet Neill, my grandmother. She was born in Auchentibber at Brownsland Place although later lived at Fernslea Avenue. “
Janet was born in 1892 and This is a good example of early travel visa with a 3 year validity which permitted frequent travel.
