At the entrance to the Calderglen Estate stands a large tree. It made me stop for a moment, when I saw the size of it. It surely must be as old as the house itself at a couple of hundred years. Its twisted trunk and lush leaves made it stand out from the others around it, which are far younger by comparison.
This old tree stands proudly at the entrance to Calderglen House, at the far end of the long driveway in, just beyond Priory Bridge.
