1870 Bothwell Castle

I found this picture amongst my files, which certainly looks like Bothwell Castle. Unfortunately, i cannot remember where it came from, so apologies for that, but it may be a painting , rather than a photo. The date is simply 1870.

There’s something much more romantic about this photo that the current scene, which I think is due to the amount of woodland and greenery around the castle back then.
