As always, I’ve learned plenty reading your comments, especially this last year and appreciate all your input. I can confidently say, I enjoy posting in Blantyre Project very much and remain extremely motivated, especially with further large books planned for release in 2019.
Collecting Blantyre notes for over 33 years (since I was 14 years old), writing it up and putting it online these last 8 years continues to be a huge part of my life ! I’m extremely proud of that commitment and effort and hope you’re enjoying it too. The fact it has raised money for the community for over a hundred local good causes, is just the “icing on the cake!”
You may be surprised to know lots of your valuable comments are integrated into the archives to ensure it’s represented by as many people as possible with facts extracted for the ongoing definitive volume of A-Z encyclopaedias being created about Blantyre. Who would have thought this little town could attract SO much attention not just in Lanarkshire, but from further afield and from ex-pats all over the world!?
