Old Parish “New Church Hall”, 1989

In February 1989 when the old Church Halls were demolished in High Blantyre, work was planned to start on the new Church Hall in the field between the Church and the manse.

By September 1989 work was well underway as these pictures show. The walls constructed in brick, the roof, a series of timber roof trusses. The hall today provides a vital venue for many organisations, clubs and activities, as important as the old halls were.
