Doors Open Day Success

There was another chance to see hundreds of old Blantyre photos and local history set out today at High Blantyre Old Parish Church. Between 10am and 5pm today, Saturday 30th September, some amazing displays and remarkable items were laid out on tables and walls.

Throughout Lanarkshire, “Doors Open Day” took place today and the church event was just one in many venues. Visitors to the free collection were treated to MASSES of local history set out in the church, with local historian Gordon Cook at hand to answer questions.
