The film showed the life of explorer, Livingstone seen through the eyes of a visitor to the centre. There were also scenes filmed in Africa. Within the film was alive sequence of discussions between Livingstone’s grandson Dr Hubert F Wilson and his son Dr David Livingstone Wilson great grandson of the missionary – recalling their own experiences of working in Africa as medial missionaries.
The film was made for the Livingstone National Memorial Trust by Mr. John Baird MA, headmaster and Mr. Charles Kerr, first assistant of the Calder Primary in Motherwell. Bill Cunningham would let out this film to local organisations who wanted to see it in their own premises. I wonder what became of such a film and where it is now?
