I can imagine the games played here 100 years ago, the crowds attending the matches, people coming from all over to watch quoiting match and Blantyre’s rather excellent team at this location. Evidence of the terraces, which contained rockeries and bistro tables with ornamental trellises can be seen in the background.
Makes me wonder what historians will look back upon us in another 100 years time!
