These two photos shared by Andy Bain, are of Blantyre Weir. Taken eight months apart, the first shows an Autumnal scene observed from the David Livingstone Bridge during November 2013. The second taken in July, shows a much greener, Summer scene, from the same vantage point.

Pictured alongside the weir, on the right is the Salmon ladder. I’m glad that the large tree that was stuck on the weir for so many months, also became dislodged by this year’s heavy Springtime rains.
