I have recently found that my mother was born at her Grandmothers house in Blantyre on 7/6/1925. The Grandmother's name was Lily Wylie and later remarried and became Mrs Archie  Laing.    My mother also names Lily was born at 'The Chestnuts'.  I would be pleased to get any information about where the Chestnuts was in Blantyre.  Or anything about Lily Wylie and her husband Hugh who died at Gallipoli and there daughter Isabella Wylie.  Know it is a long shot but anything would be great.
