1904 River Clyde Ferry Boat
1904 River Clyde Ferry Boat
Today’s photo is of the River Clyde in 1904. The ferry boat glides from Blantyre to Uddingston, back and forth. Pictured here zoomed in, with a hooded passenger and a young boy stands on the riverbank, awaiting the ferry boat.
River Crossings on the Clyde are written about in the 17th Century and indeed likely to have existed for several centuries previous to that.
