Milestone: 7,000 photos

Bit of a milestone this evening! Blantyre Project’s History Archives now have an incredible 7,000 Blantyre related photos contained within these pages!

Mostly of an older age, these photos are sorted into date and place order, labelled, scanned in a good resolution and the archive is added to each and every day. Without fail. This is the tip of the iceberg, for the site is growing and evolving now at an enormous pace. I see from comments, searches and messages, the site is now starting to be used as a free, reliable and factual resource by people all over the world. Around 1,100 to 1,500 people visit Blantyre Project http://www.blantyreproject.com every day and of course far more on Facebook.

If you see a photo you require for anything…..drop me a message. I’d be happy to remove the watermark and email it over. Incredible to think, not one of these photos has been requested. Knowing what would happen if I DID ever start asking for Blantyre photos, I know that this will one day be a truly monumental and important archive, reason in itself for automatic frequent backups.
