This photo by Christopher Madden was taken in 2013 at Blantyre Weir. Looking down from the bridge , looking upstream, a log is trapped in the weir (where it had been for many months). Bizarrely , it looks a little like a stag or deer trying to leap up over the weir.
The log shifted later that winter after the weir had been flowing in full spate.
