Elizabeth Weaver shared her photos with us recently after a nice walk out at Bardykes Woodland and Milheugh, in June 2015. Elizabeth told me “the fields looked so beautiful, with Summer growth and with the sweet smell of hawthorn blossom and wild garlic”. Wild Garlic grows in abundance in the Calder woodlands, especially around Bardykes and Greenhall. Her excellent photos are a reminder of the beautiful areas right on our doorstep.
