Can you establish the birth or death details of James Eadie (a coal miner) who married Christian McLaren in 1816 at Aberfoyle, Perthshire, please.  His grandson, another James Eadie was born 9th February 1857 at Old Monkland. This James Eadie is recorded as a Survivor and Explorer (Rescuer) in the Udston Mining Disaster of May 1887. I believe he lived at Blantyre at this time.
