The local council meeting that month concluded that due to the large number of children using schools in that area, it was determined that a crossing would be required. It was noted how busy Farm Road had become in recent years. Pupils of St Blanes, David Livingstone Primary School and St Joseph’s all benefited from this new safety measure.
Spokespeople for the schools were delighted at the decision and thought it very proactive.
