Greenhall House, 1920s

Another look at former Greenhall House. This photo I believe dates back to the 1920s and you can see just how small the surrounding trees are. The house doesn’t yet have the distinctive ivy cladding it in the 1940s. This would today have been at the car park in Greenhall Park, the house on multi levels with a basement on the other side facing the calder.

Beyond , at the back you can see the gate which led through to the garden at the side. The whole scene is very unfamiliar now given the house was demolished by the Council in the late 1960s.
