From 1979, the scene is Craig Street, looking north towards Glasgow Road. The photo captured just outside the Congregational Church. The whole scene is of course very different now, the tenements all gone.

At the very left, I noticed what appears to be a large conifer and wondered if this was a Christmas tree or just a shadow of a building? Can anybody remember a tree at that location which would be roughly where the pedestrian crossing is now at Asda.
