F.J & E White were mid 20h Century motor electrical and radio engineers.
They were based at Auchinraith Garage and had telephone number Blantyre 5 during 1950. They specialised in overhauls, cylinder boring, sleeving and welding. Their adverts stated, “A job done by White is a job done right!”

Archie Peat Used to take the family radio there in the early fifties for new valves and recharge the accumulator battery. As a point of interest it was tied to the top of an ” oracle ” if anyone can remember what that was ????
