Uninterrupted Daily Posts

As some of you may know, I’m going in for a major heart operation in mid February, which will see me off work for several months of recovery afterwards. Needless to say, I’ll be “taking things much easier” and spending relaxing time away from my computer. As such, i’m preparing things now to ensure I remove any pressure to make my recovery as simple as possible.

Whilst this inevitably will force a full closure of my Blantyre Telegraph activities for a few weeks, possibly even more than a month or so, you’ll be pleased to know that Blantyre Project WON’T close, and will continue with daily posts on the main website and on Facebook! This is because I’ve ALREADY scheduled many weeks of new posts ahead to guarantee fresh, new content here for a long time to come. These are all lined up, ready in advance and will appear here, even if i’m sleeping, offline or poorly. This will allow a continuation of an uninterrupted service here, indeed you shouldn’t even notice I’m away!

However, I would kindly ask everybody to be patient with messages from 19th February, which won’t get answered until sometime in March. Thanks.

  1. Hi Paul
You must slow down, whether we all like it or not.
I’ve been so impressed with your work never wavering through Covid, and now something has to give.
You’re a fantastic historian and we want you to regain your health at a gentler pace.
God bless you and your family.
    Sincerely
    Bev Smith (Australia)
