Over the last few weeks, I’ve put up several photos of the back of Shuttle Row. This one is simply an illustration, but certainly worth sharing too. I’m unsure if Livingstone ever sat on the slope outside the back of his home and contemplated the world, but this sketch shows somebody in a reflective mood. The old mill houses are pictured at the bottom of the hill, one of which still exists today.
