Where in Blantyre is this then? There’s a clue in the middle of the photo, remnants of what was once there. What was this ground used for? Answers revealed tonight. Good luck!

** Update Hi folks, this IS the site of the old Village Cemetery. The Blantyre works cemetery received the bodies of many mill workers and had an eventful year in 1848 when cholera struck. On the braes of the river Clyde, bodies were removed in the 1960s and it is thought were taken to Bent Cemetery. There’s an urban myth that houses are built on the site today, but thats not true. Most of the cemetery location is still on the braes, though part of it now forms the back gardens of a few homes on Fagan Court. No people occupy buildings on this site.
