These photos feature the 2nd Blantyre Boys Brigade during the early 1980’s. Then captained by John Murray, this was a time I was in that very company. Looks like an outdoor parade down Station Road and a wedding at the Congregational Church, where the BBs were based.
I recognise many boys and officers in these photos but will leave you to tag and comment.
The BB’s were founded by Sir William A Smith (pictured a lot earlier!) and this little booklet ‘Pioneer of Boyhood’ tells the story of that event.
