Progress UpdateWork continues on the rebuilding of the Auchentibber War Memorial at Auchentibber, High Blantyre. The memorial was recently demolished due to its deteriorated condition and with the assistance of an awarded grant, is being sympathetically rebuilt to look the same.
As this week’s pictures show, steelwork has now been inserted and the base of the memorial has now been rebuilt.
All being well, by 11th November 2018, the memorial should be complete and looking like new, capable of withstanding the vibration of nearby traffic.
