I’ll need to look out the better photo of this, but here is Glasgow Road looking west. Taken around the late 60’s or early 1970’s, Stonefield Parish Church is on the left, south side of the road.
The north side opposite is going to be extensively explored in detail later this year and of course is the subject of my concluding book about Glasgow Road. If anybody has photos of the north side of Glasgow Road (the sports centre side), then feel free to send them to me. I’m fully intending the north side of the street to have a further 400 or so illustrations, photos and maps, many of them unseen before.
