Metre by metre, moving westwards, the Clydeview Shopping Centre demolition continues. Contractors, using a “Central Demolition” machine are on their second day today, Friday 20th July 2018, tearing down the steel and blockwork property, owned by Asda.
Today, they’re up to the former RBOS unit, which can be seen to the left of our video. Already , a noticeable difference can be seen also from Glasgow Road, with Low Blantyre taking on a very different appearance. The buildings within the white hoarding are all scheduled to be pulled down and being such a monumental event for us all, we’ll be keeping you updated on progress.
