Having just returned from a relaxing family holiday in the Western Isles, I was delighted and surprised to find a small brown package had been delivered whilst I was away. Opening up, I found that Christine Wallace, who lives in Germany had kindly sent me a selection of good quality postcards of the Priory area of Blantyre, including a wonderful photo showing a reconstruction of how Bothwell Castle once looked! I’ll be showing them here in due course.
The gift was very much appreciated and something in return will be sent as thanks. It never ceases to amaze me the generosity of people all over the world posting things to me at their own time and expense.
The last few months have seen me receive many posted gifts of this nature as you’ll soon see in posts.
