David Livingstone Primary Presentation

15289069_1270926866300653_7421216680202329396_oOn Monday 28th November 2016, at the invite of local teacher Nicola Smith, I was invited along to David Livingstone Memorial Primary School to present a 1.5 hour presentation on Blantyre history to the pupils.

I was delighted to talk to the P6 pupils (who were exceptionally well behaved!) and take them through a history of the beginnings of Blantyre. The children were especially interested in handling the old quoits from that forgotten sport and I certainly found out that 9 and 10 year olds like to ask many questions! Hopefully I managed to answer them all!

The children are about to embark on an interesting project which will see them take photos of the local area.

I would like to say thanks to the school, staff and pupils for their kindness and hospitality and hope the kids learned something new about old Blantyre. It was a sincere pleasure to spend my day off talking about Blantyre to so many interested children
