1938 Clyde Bridges from Blantyreferme Colliery
During Summer July 1932, a large number of Glasgow men admitted to camping illegally on farmland on private property near Blantyre Ferme Colliery near Netwon.
The accused said they were part of a camping club where it was customary to leave Glasgow on a Sunday and camp overnight, noting they had never been in trouble before. Each were fined 5 shillings.
