1940s Margaret McNeil & Francis Reynolds
This is a lovely photo I saw recently on the Facebook page “FinMeOot friends”. Pictured in the late 1940s is Margaret McNeil on her back steps looking down at the camera, as Francis Reynolds walks by in a smart suit.
Fin Me Oot or Caldervale was home to many miners families. The last family to leave was in February 1962, after which the houses were demolished. Photo by Marie Walsh.
