1969 3rd May Garden Fete
Thanks to Neil Scott who shared this wonderful Garden fete flyer from 3rd May 1969.
A Garden fete took place costing one shilling to get in on Saturday 3rd May 1969. Mr Andrew Cruickshank of the BBC officially opened the fete.
This was of interest to me when Neil sent it in back in May, as at the time myself, Blantyre Committee members and the staff at the Livingstone Centre working for the National Trust, were organising a Summer Gala fete for June.
The Centre is an excellent venue for a Summer gala, with good access and open areas to bring in many attractions.
