This photo was taken in Auchinraith Road in 1938.

Pictured is Neil Scotts Granpa Gardner , his sister Mary and her daughter Kate.

I was looking at 1936 maps to see if i could find this location. My best guess was that it was taken near the end of Auchinraith Road near Herbertson Street behind the manse. The older maps showed this part of the road to be walled and given the buttonholes, there is a chance this was taken en route to church.
