1908 Auchentibber Quoiting Green Store
Looking at a photo of Auchentibber Quoiting Green, I noticed in the background, a little door. Zooming in on the high resolution image, I was able to see that there was a little wooden, white door, located under a wooden arch. The arch was actually a wooden structure with pieces of bark nailed to it.
It made me wonder if this was either a maintenance or tools store, perhaps for the nearby gardens, or was the storage place for the quoiting equipment. (Hoops and posts). Indeed, it may have been both! How nice it would have been to have visited this now overgrown and levelled area of Blantyre.
