This photo dates from around 1947 and according to Gordon Cook, who shared it here, the photo captures the demolition work partially dismantling the iron walkways on top of the Greenhall Railway Viaduct. Gordon told me the viaduct was formerly called “The Letterick Viaduct”.

This work may have only been done in part in the 1940s, as I recall a few people telling me some of the girders still existed in the 1950s. Photos taken in the 1960s show all the girders removed by that time like this one taken by John Robin in 1963.
