Highlighted in blue on this 1910 map, is a little window in High Blantyre, just off Main Street within Adams Sawmills. Strange subject perhaps for an article, but this has a nice story attached to it in future years.

By the 1960s, the sawmills had a different use. Fellow Blantyre history enthusiast Gordon Cook told me, “It marks the position of a second storey window in the sawmill, which overlooked the boy’s playground. In the early sixties the sawmill was used by a company to store soft drinks and frozen juice, called JUBBLY (see photo attached). We called it the ‘jubbly factory’.
