2014 St Joseph’s Church on 5th October by P Veverka

Work begins this week (6th October 2014) on a £700,000 renovation to St Joseph’s Church roof. The renewal of the slate roof, electrical system and most windows as well as some smaller jobs will be included in the massive overhaul. The project is supported by grants from Historic Scotland, the Heritage Lottery Fund and All Churches Trust, as well as the continued support of parish of St Josephs.

The main contractor for the work on the roof and electrical installation of the church will be R&R Construction of Glasgow. The work on the leaded windows will be sub-contracted to Rainbow Glass of Prestwick. Both firms are approved for work on Listed Buildings.
