Such a beautiful photograph. Pictured in 1932 is Glasgow Road.  A quiet scene with very little traffic. The tramlines are gone and the new modern leveled may have prompted taking this photograph. Families go about the daily business, shopping along the right hand side at the buildings between Logan Street and Church Street, known as Priory Place. The entrance on the right in the foreground leads into Logan Street (modern day entrance to Asda).  The street leading off to the left is John Street where Marshall’s the bookmakers was situated. Very different today of course. Back then there were shops on either side of the road for as far as the eye could see.
