Save the Livingstone Memorial

Money including that from a little has been coming in to save the Livingstone Memorial buildings in Blantyre, Lanarkshire, from subsidence. A movement of the river bank on which the buildings stand caused some damage recently, and an appeal went out for £2000. So far the amount raised by Sunday Schools for the appeal is £742, and the total amount contributed from this and other countries is about £l800. A little girl ten sent 2/6.  From the U.S. came 100 dollars.

Work was carried out in 1952 which successfully reinforced the river banking, protecting the memorial buildings.
